Our Beginnings

In 1987 the Troy Conference purchased 139 acres in the town of Cabot to develop a new camping site to be known as Covenant Hills Christian Camp. The first building was built in the fall of 1988, and by August 1989 a dedication was held marking the start.

Covenant Hills started as a joint ministry and covenant between the United Methodist Church and the United Church of Christ in Vermont. In 2015 the difficult decision was made to change directions, and Covenant Hills stopped offering direct camps and became a place for private rentals, retreats, and events.

Covenant Hills Christian Camp has started to be known as Covenant Hills Camp as we are used by a large variety of groups and organizations.

We acknowledge that this camp is situated on the unceded ancestral territory of the Wabanaki nation, the Ndakina.
